Yonake coil overs
just another cheapo flavor of the week coilover. Internet reviews are almost all worthless as pointed out. Most ppl have no idea what they're reviewing anyway. A lot of knowledge, science, and r&d go into the development of dampers, do ppl really think a $650 purchase on ebay is going to get them that? smh.

I guess there's only one way to find out....*Am I feeling lucky*
This is no knock on these companies or the ppl that buy them, they serve their purpose and have their niche in the market. Like someone else pointed out, I don't get excited about these weekly ebay specials and pretty much put them all in the same group. you're not going to find a hidden gem here.
Here's a pretty cool article about KW's facilities, the work that goes into making a good suspension system is substantial, and more often than not, reflected in the price:

The internals, valving mechanisms, fluid, etc., the stuff that make or break a shock, are not easily knocked off. A random factory in china/taiwan/whereever (that probably makes a ton of other products) is not going to have the parts, equipment, know how, or quality control to do this. I question if the yonaka/godspeed/brand X ppl have ever set foot inside the factories that make their products.

OK..I finally found something with these on a Z!

"Michael Singh from NJ sent us pictures of his Nissan 350Z on Yonaka Coilovers that he just bought. He said he is VERY happy with the ride and handling on the crappy NJ roads".

They were for sale here a while back...someone parting out their car.
These are very good close ups. What I don't get is that these are a damper adjustable version (type2)..but only Type 1 (non adjustable) are available for the Z.

Good points. KW is top notch..no doubt. I just like to look at new and different options. It's important to always keep an open mind. It's very easy to dismiss stuff as *Junk* and there's a very good reason why a lot of vendors play off this theme. I think there is a market for *value* based set ups and it's getting easier to find $1000 set ups that are pretty damn good. I can now find Eibach pro-S for $900...and the reason is that competition is getting BETTER. That's a good thing.

I think its more of a money thing, simple and easy to make some cash. Pick ompany name that sounds JDM yo , make contacts in china for the same coilovers everyone else is buying, pick the pretty colors you want to sell, and then market them. There seems to be a market for cheap crap, just more and more companies are popping up and trying to get a piece of pie.

Ok they're made in Japan... KW V1's/Eibach Pro-Street S are still a better buy. Buy right the first time... don't make a Konig mistake again.

Yeah...if I were to play it safe, I'd go with Pro Streets for $900.
Keep in mind though...these are adjustable without moving the springs and changing rates

My buddy has a set of BC's, they're nice and the price is right but they don't ride as comfortably. For a daily driver, I've found that my particular set up is perfect... I'm going to another set up only to use the Roberuta set up but otherwise I'd stick with what I have.

Doesn't change the *rate* per se>>>> providing they are linear. However...you will shorten the range of operation the more you're required to compress the spring. Having to alter the spring length to change ride height is not a desireable thing to do..I'm sure you'll agree there.
