Rear spring bucket not sliding over mount... any ideas?
Well my second help thread throughout my spring install lol.
From every post/video I have watched/read the rear is super easy to take apart and put back together.
Was sure easy to take apart... but when I try to lift the spring bucket with my floor jack, it contacts whatever part that is where the bolt is supposed to go through, and it starts to lift the whole rotor/shock/etc, instead of sliding over to match the holes up.
I've tried some lube... brute force with a rubber mallet.... I've tried to stand on the rotor assembly while jacking the spring bucket up. Nothing has worked, it keeps lifting the whole assembly.
Any tricks or recommendations? About to go by a dremel and hack away just a tad of material, was hoping to finish tonight though.

I think i had the same problem by reading your discription. I used a rubber mallet and hit the rear bottom of the brake rotor and every thing went smooth after that. The videos online make things look easy. Good luck
I just read your other thread from today. I installed gf210s on my z 6 months ago and encountered the same problems you did. I am no mechanic but I feel like I know my car much better after these trial and error installs. Wait a week or two to take pics, the car will settle and look better after every day
