Default Akebono brakes, what is this part?

I bought a set of calipers for my Z, the fronts are from a G37 and the rears are from a FX50. I've read that they fit fine, but they came with this part attached and I have no clue what it is. Looked at infiniti parts websites and couldn't find it.

Seems to be some sort of hardline before the rubber brake lines?
Any ideas?

Looks like a proportioning valve off some random older car. Maybe they just used it to cap off the hardline.

Ok, that makes since, I'm kinda wondering why it would be on a car with ABS though. I looked at my rear brakes and don't have anything that looks like this.

I was just planning on taking it off and screwing the brake line directly into the caliper. Shouldn't be any problem with that right?

it is just a block for securing the soft line to. the rectangular piece was the end of the softline, it has been cut. take that piece off it is trash now.

People, if you don't know the answer to something please refrain from posting your guess. Alot of people ask for advice and need help, they do not need bad information.

Gotcha, but I still don't understand the purpose, maybe it helps with the increased travel/clearance in a FX50
