Default Fiberglass temp

Hey all,

Was just wondering if anyone knew how hot of a temp fiberglass can be exposed to before it fails (melts). im going to make a brake ducting kit for my front brakes and was wondering if I could get away with making the outlet (very close to the rotors) out of fiberglass? Th alternative woudl be to make it out of steel and weld it onto the dust sheild, but i would have to go to a shop to get it welded as i dont have a welder s im trying to avoid that route... if anyone has ay exprience with fiberglass and high temp or even with fiberglass brake ducting please let me know.

No problem. It might depend on the specifics of the fiberglass but in general, it can get pretty d@mn hot.
