I've been searching several threads this morning, and have run across many that are related to the clicking sound on acceleration. Mine seems to be a different issue, and I'm not sure what it is. I can accelerate fine with no click sound, and drive perfetly fine with no noises if I am on straight, level road.

There is a strange crunching/crackling sound coming from both rear wheel well areas. It occurs when I ride over bumps, gravely areas, or dips. It seems to be triggered anytime the back of the car is pushed up or down. I've tried (from the outside of the car) to push up and down on the rear to try and replicate the noise, but no luck.

It is very audible when I am in the car witht he windows rolled up. If I roll the windows down, I can't really hear it from the outside. I haven't been able to get anyone to drive it by me to listen from outside of the car.

It also gets louder/more frequent as the temperature gets colder.

It sounds like the noise are coming form your shocks, are you on original shocks or aftermarket?
