Default 350Z Sway Bar & Brake Questions

Old username was Wakatow13 but I couldn't seem to access it no matter what I did. Anyway, I'm currently deployed so I'm pulling in some extra money and about to begin building my 05 base model Z. I'm getting a set of BC coilovers next week and had a couple questions. I'll be getting sway bars as well and was wondering what sway bars went well with BC suspension. I was also looking at a Stoptech big brake kit but they're pricey, what would I need to swap the OEM Brembos onto my Z?

Forget Stoptech, save the money and get OEM brembo. Then spend the saved money on some quality coilovers. KW V2 would be a great coilover to look at. Mosr sways work great. Hotchkis or motordyne would be my pick.

500$ rotors, not that much better stopping power than stock. I was using 2 piece rotors.

You fail ^ OEM Brembos are a very solid choice especially with upgraded rotors/pads/ss lines.

No need to throw thousands at a BBK unless you're a hardcore track driver or just want to blow the dough on the look

As far as I know the OEM Brembos should bolt right up. I'm a fairly new Z owner, got mine about a year ago.

I fail because brembo brakes were insufficient for my track use? Yeah I don't follow you on that one. Maybe you fail for putting so much faith in street brakes.

I sold my brembo setup and bought a front Stop-Tech kit, I have put 20k miles on it and maybe 4 hours of track use working good so far.

I would bet money it was your pad selection that actually sucked. OEM Brembo is great on the track. The NASA guys running Spec Z, who are much faster than you are not having brake problems.

You would lose money on that bet.

I still have a half used set of pads if you want to buy them, LOL!

Edit- I also flushed brake fluid to MOTUL RBF600.

You seem to think that I don't know what I'm talking about just because I'm new...

XP12 is what most people use up front for the track.

You can DD XP12 as much as XP8. Don't falsify info. BREMBO work great, event OEM 2 piston calipers work fine with track pads and track fluid.

From the description of XP8, it is an excellent front brake pad for car weighing less than 2,400lbs.. For the Z to be weighing 3,000~3,600lbs.. iunnos did you happen to reduce 600lbs~ or something?

I ran XP10 front on OEM non brembo 07 calipers and they sucked. They would fade after 3 laps. My current pads are ST45 and I have 100% confidence in them.
