Ilya and I finished swapping suspension parts at midnight. I had to drive home and to work afterwards with no alignment, approx 20 miles.
I washed my car yesterday, so what you see in the pictures are pure rubber.

Goodness gracious. How EFFED UP was your alignment before. I've slammed cars and ran ridiculous and unscrupulous amounts of camber with less wear than that. LOL. Go get that fixed before your tires explode.

Yeah, it was pretty bad. I needed new tires anyways.
I went to Firestone after work and got new tires and an alignment.
Before the adjustment I had a total of 4 degrees negative toe on the rears. The *** end was all over the place at 35mph and sounded like I was in a constant drift.

I am going to have to do some research and figure out what's going on. They maxed out the camber adjustment on the Megan control arms and I was still left with too much camber. The car is lowered only 1"
They were also confused about how the traction and toe arms worked in the rear for a while. The driver's side wheel ended up being 1/2" closer to the front of the car vs. the right wheel.

Maxed out adjustment and still to much camber, and your sitting at 1.3 , how much less do you want?
Traction arms, megan and others call them toe arms. They get adjusted to stock length, they are pretty mych useless.

These are installed. I had thought they would be enough to correct for the negative camber up front. Unfortunately they are maxed out and I'm still sitting at a relatively high camber which I think points towards bushings.
We did look at the bushings, but nothing was obviously out of place. Time for a much closer look.

-2 up front will only take 2 to 3k miles out of your tires when running proper toe and you rotate tires. Rotation is key, basically you have to flip them at around the 12k to 15k miles mark.

Thanks everyone. My new tires are not directional so I will be able to flip them.
On a side note, I think the handling is getting better from the tread wearing into camber.
I am picking up a set of 18 x 10.5 Enkei RPF1's w/ tires today or tomorrow. Going to my first AutoX event on the 10th
Just have to get the new clutch put in before then.

I know right! Stupid addictions, relapse is a *****! LOL.
I'm done after this purchase. No.. really...I think...
I really wanted to get her ready for the track so I can get some time behind the wheel before the turbo upgrade, hopefully next year.

Hit the track, you want a lot more camber, like -2.7 up front and -2 rear, and if you hit the track you will realize that a turbo is not needed unless you want to spend more time in the pits cooling down and more time in the garage rebuilding blown motors.
