My thoughts on it is. My car has way too many miles on it to lower it with the stock shocks. It would look better, but would ride worse most likely. So if I was to pick these up, 400 for what he has, then 400 for 2 new rear shocks, I could add another hundred dollars to that an have a brand new set of bc's with a warranty on them. Thanks for talking sense into me!

And thanks! I'm trying to work! Lol. My plans for the car are looks and performance. I have no clue where a track is near me other than drag strips. And the Z wasn't built for dragging. My current mods are: k&n typhoon, blue hose kit, aerosync bumper in the mail, JDM nismo v2 shine replica sideskirts to come soon, then plenum spacer. My car has high miles (130k) so I'm trying to be sensible and not waste money on a motor that I can't boost. (Plus im not rolling in cash) So after college, when I get a real job, I will either do a ls1 swap or build my motor from the ground up. But long story short, I am not pushing it to its full potential, but I still want it to perform. I'm just doing cosmetics and small things as of now

Oh, and shorty antenna, pioneer sound-system, and an aftermarket set of headlights (most people on this board don't like this one) and 19" g35 rays. Which I will be changing as soon as I wear these tires down.. And a carbon fiber Autotecknic cooling plate. I think that's it.

Same quote terrasmak posted in response to your findings about bc coils...

In reality, it just gives you a harsh ride and false sense of handling that all the "satisfied" owners experience, without really knowing how they were better off with a stock setup.
But it's your car, make believe that the cheap coils are good if you want to and just go with the whole low 'n slow style and you car will handle so poorly it won't even matter.

That quote by x.et. I don't see it anywhere. But that's the kind of review I actually need to see. This is why i ask questions. Ive done the searching, but i like everyone's opinion. Do people just say they like them because they just dropped practically a grand and are naive about wasting money? And no, I'm not about that "Low n' slow" life. Quite the opposite. I like the adjustment abilities of coilovers, but I only plan on dropping about an inch. And if bc's are going to downgrade performance, then I don't want them. I think super slammed z's with camber out the *** is a horrid waste of a once beautiful car.

Ahh.. I forgot to follow up on that. And so much useful information was in there lol. My bad lol.
But no, I'm not just reading good reviews and blocking out the bad, I've talked to people who have these on their z's and they say they love em. That the car feels like its on rails. I've heard that they are a little stiff but honestly it's been probably 3 months since I read any reviews on them.
