My Suspension
I want to install performance springs in my 2006 350z, i was wondering if its necessary to change the shocks with the springs at the same time. I barely got my 350z and i want to take the mods slow since money is tight.

You might as well since you're there but if money is tight, at least take care of your front springs and shocks at the same time; more than likely, you won't want to do that job twice. The rears are easy since the spring and shock are separate.

you are already in there it would make the most sense to do it then, depending on the shocks you get, be prepared to drop some money on them. some popular ones are koni yellows or tokico d-specs

What springs are you thinking about? Too much of a drop also means camber arms will be needed.

Personally I just did springs and no shocks and haven't had any issues. Got maybe 12k miles on mine. I don't track the car or anything, just highway driving. Reason I just went springs is because I wasn't sure if I was gonna go coil overs or not.
That said, if you could swing the shocks now why not? Better than going back in there a second time later on.
Good luck.

Like the other guys, I'd suggest new shocks while you're at it. Good shocks at a great price, and a good vendor, too:
