What's up guys? I'm fresh to the site so bear with me. This is my 2nd thread (introduction threads are a must for myself) and I'm already begging for advice
Here's the scoop:
Bought a 2008 Nismo 350z a couple months ago
70,xxx miles
cheap intake
cheap exhaust
big audacious green wheels 19x9.5" front 19x10.5 rear
Lowered and negative camber (Stupid Stance, but to each his own)
Well only 2k on the car since and I've blown my right rear tire.
I lift it up and see that the issue is the dumb camber adjustment the previous owner made. The tires are wearing rapidly on the inside and I'm showing steel on the other three tires.
So I naturally want to get rid of this ridiculous set up, but I notice that without the camber, the current wheels and tires wont clear the fenders.
It looks like they (previous owner) just swapped the springs and the oem shocks are still installed. My initial thought was to just buy aftermarket coilovers and adjust them as high as they go, but I'm not sure if that will solve the issue (not to mention that it's expensive). I also considered just buying stock springs but I'm not sure if they'll bring the car up high enough? I'm also considering buying stock non nismo springs as, from what I've read, the nismo springs are a little lower and much stiffer. What are my options as far as keeping the wheels and losing the camber?
Very long winded, I know But all advice is welcome! Thanks!
Hate to be the one to tell you, but suspension changes may not solve your problems. Those green wheels may have such a high offset that only a "stanced" setup will work. Even if you lift the ride height, the tires may rub on the fenders going over bumps or while cornering.
Are you on coilovers? If so, you should be able to raise the ride height and see what the results are.

Well I'm pretty familiar with wheels and tires (discount tire for a couple years) but the suspension isn't really my forte unless it involves 2 wheels and a set of forks. From what I can see the wheels would have positive offset if any but nothing drastic. I just can visually see that if I took the camber out of the picture, with the car's current ride height, it's very unlikely the wheels will clear the fender. I read a few (a lot actually) of the wheel and tire threads here and it sounds like a few guys here with non nismo z's have pulled off the same sizes. I'm not sure just how much lower the nismo is stock, but I'm definitely leaning towards stock nismo springs and losing the camber. Perhaps I can sneak by with the same wheels (painted of course). Will add pics asap... Thanks for all the help! Pretty stellar community if I do say so myself.

Front looks like some sort of aftermarket spring/strut combo..rear looks like stock springs..hard to tell from the pictures. Did you see what that decal said on the strut? I'd definitely either flip the tires or get new ones. It looks like he might even be using big wheel spacers judging by how far away your spokes are from the calipers.
Looks like a roll is needed, like it said, I can check it out next week. I'll be down there Monday night thru the weekend. I spend a bit of time on Pendleton, Oceanside and of course Fallbrook.
This is a toe issue from what I can tell. Not a camber issue. The camber does not appear to be too extreme. (from the limited pictures supplied.) and I agree that it appears to have spacers with the amount of spacing between the caliper and the wheel

I am by no means an expert, but from what I've read and seen, the front looks stock. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the nismo comes stock with red springs (not that no one else makes red springs) and the rear are short and black.

Aww man that would be super helpful, I could totally use someone who knows something about this to take a look around, but I'm flying to Tucson until the end of the month. Let me know the next time you're out here though, I can get it on lift for you.

Really? Again, I know very little about car suspension, but how could the toe settings cause just the inner tires to ŵear so quickly? Also I'm not a fan of wheel spacers, and if the calipers clear, I'll sacrifice the flush look for safety... I just need the time to work on the issue.

Reason: Learn to multi-quote
Varstoen makes 10.5 in 0 offset so its like a 15mm spacer added to a normal already aggressive fitment of +15 offset. Id start from there, if you have spacers then great, just take them off and adjust from there otherwise you might have to find a buyer from the hellaflush croud.
The toe could be out just as stated previously, with added camber it will show that much more wear with the smaller footprint of your camber setting. Perfect toe and heavey camber will wear your tires considerably to bigin with.
Yes. Remove spacer, get smaller spacer if want to get it more flush than how the wheels will sit on their own, new tires and adjust camber to where you are happier.
