How do I get the race off? Not enough lip to get the bearing puller on.

 

This is a job for your local machine shop. Pay them to press it off/on with the correct equipment.

 

The large bearing separator from HF should have enough purchase to get it off, always has for me.

You could try to cut, just grove the race, and then crack it with a chisel.

Thanks! Did just that. Super easy. Tightened it up and used a 2-claw bearing puller with a 32mm socket on the hub.

Install was even easier. Cleaned up the hub, spread anti-seize where needed, stuck in the freezer. Put the bearing on concrete floor, put a heat gun on it. Browsed YouTube for 5 minutes. Took the hub out of the freezer, set on a 36mm socket. Put the bearing on top and pushed down (it slipped on about 1/4"). Used a soft mallet to beat the bearing all the way on. Toward the end (1/8" away from flush) it was tight. I put the salvaged race against the inner race of the new bearing and applied a moderate amount of BFH. Perfect


That was last resort. Luckily, didn't have to.
