If I install the Eibach spring(lowers ~1") and get alignment done with my stock 17" wheels on. Do I have to perform another alignment if I put on 19" aftermarket wheels later?

I'm planning to do the same thing. We don't need any marks on our new wheels, though R.G. would be very carefull anyways.

 

It simply depends on the overall diameter of the tire used. If you keep the outside diameter the same or close, you will be OK.

My opinion is that you do need an alignment after putting on bigger size rims...Your changing the specs regardless and therefore need an alignment. Your spending around $1000 on tires, I don't think it would kill you to spend $70 on an alignment just so you know your not going to wear the tires out prematurely or unevenly...just my .02

 

Normally, you don't have to get an alignment when you change wheels, only when you change suspension parts (i.e. lowering springs).

But, in my opinion, if you go with a tire that has drastically different offset, like one that pushes your wheel further out, you might want to check the alignment and adjust it. I believe pushing the wheel further out will actually increase the center of load eccentricity, and thereby place a larger load on the spring. Consequently, the car will be slightly lower and increase negative camber.

 

Safe bet is to get another alignment. It's hardly going to break the bank. I'll also mention that alignment isn't something you set and forget. I recommend an alignment every 6 months, sooner if you do a lot of driving. You'll get more life out of your tyres in the long run.
