That makes more sense!... I was about to say you were spreading innacurate information. But your second explanation is more clear and concise. Thanks for sharing your research! I wish I would have been told about the B8 shocks before I bought, since I am on Swift SpecR springs. Its not bad and they aren't that aggressive, but short travel just seems slightly overdamped tho..

Yeah, sorry for the confusion. I take pride in (trying to) ONLY provide info here that I've either personally verified or it comes from a reliable source... like the mfgr site at least. If I'm wrong, I'll admit it.

Swift SpecR's lower to about -30mm if I recall and the B6 is entirely suitable to that amount of lowering, again, off top of head.

My original B12 Prokit setup came with B6s (and that's fine since I'm only at -19mm) but later/newer kits apparently are packaged with B8's. Don't know when that change occurred but other members here confirmed this in the last couple of years.

Welllllll, keep in mind that you DO have to remove/disassemble the entire shock/spring set up front so no labor savings there. Rears are fine though, just plug n' play.
I was more talking about getting the alignment kit for the install.

Ok so on some websites, I see multiple B6 shock part numbers, listed for the same car and position. Is there a difference?

Example
http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/200..._absorber.html

Notice it has two rears, two front lefts, and two front rights.

Per Bilstein website for a 2005 35th Anniversary Ed.:

http://cart.bilsteinus.com/search/mmid=186490/setting=B6%20Performance/drivetype=RWD

Front Left - 24-118927
Front Right - 24-118934
Rears - 24-118941

Btw. Order from THMotorsports. Call and talk to Luke. I've ordered from them alot. I just paid $167 (fronts)/$129 (rears). Every little bit counts. Go ahead and pickup F/R shock mounts. You'll need them

MicVelo, just got my B6's installed last week. Thank you so much for your help. Getting new tires helped alot, but I still had an issue with particular break in the pavement on my way home from work. Everyday when I went over it, I'd feel the back of the car shimmy around. After the new shocks, I can't even tell I'm going over that same break. Car feels great, much more planted in the corners. I'm going to drive it for a bit and then make a decision on sway bars.
