Default coilover kit

I have a 2005 Nissan 350z coupe, and need help in deciding which coilover kit to get. I've noticed a lot of coilovers don't include the rear shocks, and some kits do have them. Can I use the stock rear shocks the car comes with or do I need to purchase a coilover system that includes the rear shocks? Hope this wasn't confusing.

I don't know of any kits that don't include the rear shocks (dampers). Perhaps you are seeing that there are two types of coilover kits for the 350Z. The first type is referred to the 'true' coilover style where the damper and spring are a single unit on both front and rear. In the 350Z, the rear suspension has separate dampers and springs. The springs rest in dedicated buckets. Coilover kits in this configuration are referred to as OEM-style and have separate dampers an height adjustable springs that go in the spring buckets.

In terms of choosing a coilover - what is your intended use? Street, track, street & track? Will you be driving the car in winter? What is your budget?

What is your budget, and what do you use the car for?
