Z1 motorsports front upper control arms question
I've already bought and installed my race version Z1 FUCAs. I was reading how they are caster adjustable through forums. When I was reading through the instructions, it said "measure and set to factory oem fuca location." Now I measured the best that I can and tried replicating the oem length and everything. I haven't went to the alignment shop yet. I'm waiting until I get my check to do that, plus I have a suspicion that I didn't get the size right because i was in a rush and didnt measure by turns. (Didnt think about it at the time) but i did count with my finger nail on the threads, idk if i got that right but im gonna take them out and do it again. I wanted to see if I could get an answer on here about how many turns i should do on the front and rear body mounts and the knuckle mounts. Or at least come up with a strategy so I can try yo only go to the shop once. All the help is appreciated
I think that getting them dialed in correctly is going to depend on your suspension setup as all of that affects the alignment. It's probably best to not drive it a lot until the shop aligns it properly unless you don't care about your tires or messing something else up.

Since these are already on, you're not gonna be straight until the tech puts it on the rack. But here's the deal-
Make absolutely sure each bolt is torqued to specs on instructions! When I did mine I thought tighter is better and got all sorts of noise/popping. I retorqued to 40lbs and no problems since. You might want to hit the grease fittings while the tires are off. Gl!
How many turns did you do on your arms? Cause I guarantee the shop isn't going to unbolt my tires and suspension just to adjust my caster. Because you can't adjust them on the car, you have to uninstall, adjust , reinstall, see readings, adjust again. That would take too long. I didn't think this was going to be such a hassle otherwise I just would have saved up for sol. But too late now

My tech at Goodyear has a Z and knows these arms. I'd call ahead to confirm prior, but you're paying them to get in spec.
As to how many turns sorry, it's been 4 years since I put them on.

Try to find a legitimate speed shop in your area. Most franchise-based business even if they know how to do it (let's say if something goes wrong) won't really be liable since they will claim it's not OEM equipment. Why waste your time and money? Like someone said it's more expensive but they have experience and they have flexed their muscles better than someone doing alignments on Camry's.
