Post Installed 350EVO upper control arms

Just installed the 350EVO upper control arms and I am very impressed by the quality and ease of install. After I was done I put the hoosiers on the car and went for a test drive with the camber slammed all the way in. And HOLY SHAT thats what I been waiting for a Z that nails the corners, less turn in, and a hell of a lot more stability in the corner. Sunday will be the first autocross with them so I will report how well it goes and I have a feeling that it will go very well (not that I was losing before). Recomend more than any suspension mod for autocrossers that run bsp,bp. FTD here I come!

Well I did not get FTD missed it by one car, damn turbocharged miata with some wide tires. Great mod for autocrossers, the car just carves the coners out now.

So what made you choose th 350evo's over the others. They look like a nice unit. How easy is the adjustment? Are there any markers on them so you can replicate your settings when you go from your street to track setup?

At the last alignemnt which was on 8/30/04 I was at -1.4 on the left and -1.3 on the right (factory rec. -1.3 to .2+). I measured the stock arm agains the 350EVO arm to set stock ( as close to stock ) setting. There are two holes on the top of the arm that line up the stock setting perfectly. I don't recall how far the evo arms allow for adjustment but there plently of room for positive camber I thats what you like. As for the negative I am going to place the car on the alignment machine to see how far it goes, but my guess would be around negative 4.0 plus degrees all the way in including the orginal camber. Took me about an hour to install. Takes less time to adjust. There are four 13mm bolts to loosen to adjust. Maybe 15 minute operation from floor jack, removal of wheels, adjust camber plate, install wheels and remove jack.

I put them all the way in for this autocross and now the front bites so hard the rear has a problem (or my right foot).

The reason I chose EVO instead of other types is the construstion, ease of adjustment and the plate on the camber adjuster slides into the A arm so the load is not on the bolts that hold it into position. Their as light as the factory as well. No alteration of any other parts or chassie. No tire clearance with 18" performance with 245 hoosiers on them at full lock either way. Sorry to be long winded.

Glad you like them Mike. I'm still on the fence on this mod, but it's the next mod I do.

Do you have any pics of the install?

If you come up for our next SCCA ODR event (Oct. 3rd,) I'll measure your camber with my bubble type caster/camber meter.

I have a set of 350evo camber arms and must be forced to agree!

I have it set to -1.5 on both on the streets

-3 on the track
