So, I'm looking to install a wilwood proportioning valve for the rear brakes, but I don't want to lose the speedometer (which would happen if I delete/remove the ABS cube/module).
I got a welded diff and I already cut the 2 ABS fuses in the 3 fuses housing [ABS, ABS, IGNITION], so, breaking does not use ABS at all anymore (but I have speedometer reading).
I was thinking to put the proportioning valve BEFORE the ABS module, between the secondary brake pump cylinder and one of the ABS inputs.
What I'm not sure is if 1 of brake pump lines (main) will go to the front and the other (secondary) to the rears, OR if one will go to the left and the other to the right.....
Does anyone know?
Would the picture below work?
The ABS module is two pieces. You can separate them keeping the wired section and losing the brake line section. Then installing some t-connectors (with some brake line bending). This will allow you to keep the speedo and get rid of the ABS.
If you install the proportioning valve before the ABS as you have shown.. you'll be proportioning FL and RR (or FR and RL) because the ABS module crosses each line that comes from the master cylinder.
There is a thread about removing ABS (I've done it) maybe check the Track section.
Thank you for the advices @thekinn I indeed made an ABS delete and keept the electronic side (black module) as you sugested, T for fronts and T for rears so I can securely add the proportioning valve for the rears.
Your advice about the ABS doing FL/RR for an input and FR/RL for the other was very helpful to don't do a mistake, thanks for that!
