Springs and street/AutoX/feathering alignment?
I spend 12 hrs yesterday trying to install my Hotchkis springs and Kinetix cats. First of all, the springs are not a DIY'er without power tools. It's needed to break the shock's top cap off, otherwise the piston just spins. It's pretty crappy to figure that out late into a cold Sunday afternoon... I'm hoping to finish up the front today once I stop by a garage.
Anyway, I'm wondering if I need to reinstall the front upper rubber stops for the Hotchkis spring. For that matter, do I need to keep the rear upper rubber guides? I'm wondering b/c the rear seems to be sitting as high as OEM but I expect it to settle somewhat. It's not a very agressive drop anyway (3/4").
Alignment - is everyone running the latest non-feathering setup? Anybody know what that is so I don't have to get it done at a Nissan dealership. For AutoX purposes, I'd like to get as much camber as possible up front whereas and limit the rear to -1.5 or so if possible. What about toe settings? Is caster adjustable?
Thanks
