Thumbs up Carbotech Bobcats - No dusting!

It was time for new pads and since I loved the performance of my AP fluid and Carbotech Panthers on the track I decided to try their Bobcat street pad.

Well there is no pad that can say no dusting but, this one is MUCH better than stock. My Z has gone without a wash for 11 days. Included in those 11 days has been rain which seems to compound the dusting issue. My wheels are relatively clean for going this long without a bath. So much better than the stock pads. If I have time I will take a picture tonight.

So how do they stop? Well I put them through their paces yesterday and was very impressed. They have a very nice temperature range which the stock pads never had. All the stops had very good feeling and when I had them nice and hot they still had great grab.

One worry I had about the Carbotechs was the noise problem. I would have kept my track pads on had it not been for the noise. I was a little worried it had a lot to do with the backing plates, however these pads make no noise.

1000 miles so far and I am very impressed with these pads.

Did you do all four corners or just the fronts? What did they set you back?

I have had the bobcats on also for about 20,000 miles already and I will agree, the dust id about 65% less than stock.. I drive the car fairly hard and they also have a decent amount left... The cost though is almost double the amount of other pads. You are looking at about $110 or so for the front and the same for the rear...

I bought both front and rear. I think retail is about $210 for all 4. Directly from carbotech. If you find a vendor you can get them cheaper I would think.
