What happens if tires feather after alignment?
I'm curious with the new TSB and extension of the warranty period, what happens if you go in, get new tires, get the car aligned by Nissan, and the feathering returns within the 2 years of purchase? Is this a one time thing or continued until resolution or 2 years, whichever comes first?
Just wondering since I got my notice today in the mail, no issues to speak of, just got me wondering.....

I know they'll give you new tires if you meet certain criteria, but say your tires feathered at 15K after 10 months, and you get new tires, then 10 months later the problem has returned, will they say sorry or still honor the 2 year deal and re-align and give new tires a second time?

I believe incorrect alignment caused the problem in the first place. I think NNA finally has the correct specs. New front tire should be included because the noise from feathering will continue until the bad portion of the tread is worn away. Who is to say that flipped feathered tire will wear back to normal? Or NNA should give us all Nismo S-tune suspension.

Hi to all
I had the feathering- initially I thought I escaped, but at 8500, i had it bad. Nissan replaced the tires for free, although with the same Bridgestones (i was bummed...)
Then they aligned it and it has been perfect for >7000 miles. Not even the slightest feel of feathering. So, I conclude they figured out the alignment. Also, note that the Bridgestones have a 140 treadwear rating, which is nearly as good as a common kitchen sponge, so figure 8000 to 10000 miles will be pretty good life....
