Default whats the cheapest big brake kit w/ blue calipers?

I'm considering upgrading my front rotors to cross drilled and thought if instead i could get a front big brake kit w/ blue rotors it would also look pretty sweet. the rotor switch will cost me just under 400, so i figure if theres any big break kit under a grand it would be worth.

There is no big brake kit under a grand. The closest thing is Rotora 4 piston kit with 13 inch rotors.

If all you want is cosmetic change then get some Stoptech OEM sized cross drilled rotors and paint your calipers blue. Simple as that and will be under $500 assuming you do the work. If your after performance then a big brake kit for the front only will cost you $2K+ and kits for all around are even more.

i definately need better braking, which is why i want to upgrade the rotors. and by the way, i accidently wrote blue rotor in the thread, i was referring to the calipers. its just that I thought if i could get a lower end big break kit for 500-600 more instead of just upgrading the rotors it would also look nice as well. but if a grand for front big brakes is not realistic, then ill only change the rotors to cross drilled.
i definately dont want to paint anything myself and attract attention to a non-big-brake.

just curious Apexi350z, are you saying the z32 brakes have an advantage over ours?

Rotora offers two differnet kits that would work for you.

13" 4 piston and 14" 6 piston.

The 13" 4 piston, I could get you for under 1600. The 14" 6 piston would be around 2200. If you or anyone else is interested, I keep these kits on the shelf, so no wait time will be necessary to get them.

Are there any issues when upgrading the stock brakes to 4 or 6 piston calipers? Does the stock master cylinder, etc. have the capacity to operate them? Anything else that needs to be considered when doing an upgrade like this?

So can you just upgrade your rotors in terms of cross drilled and size w/o swapping out any other components?

Dave,
When doing the big kit you would want to put new fluid in and of course you will have to bleed the system out, but other than that, it will work just fine. No additional components to purchase are neccesary.

maxi, you can not upgrade the size of the rotor without changing the caliper. You can buy a performance rotor that is drilled or slotted, but it will have to be of OEM size and spec. If you get something bigger, you will be buying the whole kit because you can't just put the rotors on there.
