Online Tiens specs for the Basic coilover on the Z says to use
-1" front and .8" rear, the manuel says something different then that? What they recommended are the from when they corner weighted the car and then measured the drop.

I think he is talking about the height of the collar on the threads when he was adjusting them. I would recommend using whatever the manual said to set the collar at. I know I did that on my Honda though and my exhaust was so low I couldn't get out my driveway, so I raised it back up. If you don't rub or scrape leave it at the level Tein recommends.

Your right King, I just read the instructions again... Another problem I have is alignment, Visually the tires look OK. But you never know... Nobody here in Philly will align the car I called like 10 places, they won't touch it because it's aftermarket or they say their alignment machine is too tall for the car..

You think I can take it to the dealer???

After I had mine installed by Street Image to Tein's specs, I drove around for two weeks to let the springs settle. I found that I was scraping the front on my driveway so I had the front raised about 1/4". The back look good with Tein's specs with no rubbing. But my left rear has settle a final bit and I have to raise it some. My advice is to wait a few weeks and let them settle and see if you have any scraping around where you live. Then readjust and get an alignment. I took mine to Performance Nissan and they had no problem getting the car on the alignment rack.

I have some people who have had it installed and wanted it full slam and then just came in to have us lift it back to the same drop as the nismo...

play with it

I do not recomend people with 19's getting alignments with us... our machine just isnt the best for them... so... yeah...

So where do you recommend in SoCal to go for an alignment for those with 19" wheels?

they will drop up to 2.2 / 2.0 i believe is the exact lowest drop.... they recomend 1" out of the box... that is what the install manual tells you to measure them at...

So you think I should just put the stock wheels back on. Then align it. The guy at the dealership said that is not gonna work... Is he wrong???

you might want to find a performance shop that deals with lowered cars...
but either way will work...
