Default Front eibach sway causing "clunk" in front... owners chime in

Just started making this noise two days ago. Took it to the dealer and of course they attribute the noise to my eibach sways because they don't want to have to do any work. Anyways, do any other eibach sway owners have this problem or is my dealer really just BSing me?

I'm not running sways, but I did have a loose upper control arm. Caused a clunking noise, might be worth a look.

Did it only happen when going over raised bumps in the road (but not dips or potholes)?

Hey wren,

Make sure the endlinks are on really tight. I put in my Hotchkis bars about a month ago and last week I was getting this metal-on-metal clunking noise from the front. I put the car up, made sure all was tight, and drove it again. Same noise. I haven't touched any other suspension part on this car so it had to be something I did right? Put the car back up on stands and got on the endlink bolts and one of the bolts actually spun another four pulls on the socket wrench. I torqued these bolts to 38 ft/lbs the first time and one didn't snug up before the wrench reached 38 ft/lbs! WTF! So ample muscle on the remaining bolts and dropped the car. NO MORE NOISE.

Hope this the problem in your case cuz it's an easy fix. GL

^^^ what he said. It defently your endlinks causing the noise. Had the same problem on my other car with SWAY BARS... but only when going on inclines or some bumpy roads... or pullingin driveways

so once you do that... should solve everything. Basically double check all the bolts on the sways as well as the collars you put on .... but endlinks should be the first thing to check.
