It sounds like the Nismo Mafia got to you.

There is a good deal on Hotchkis if you're looking to get them, check out chicagoZ.com's car topic section, there is a thread there that links the vendor..I believe the price is $250 shipped.

upright....that's how the directions say to do it...and a progressive spring should have the tight coils on top...

I've never heard of springs "settling". I've done about 20plus spring installs on my past and present cars plus my friends. I've never ever seen one set "settle". After driving around the block, the car was the same height as it was years later. It never changed one bit.

Got my NISMO Performance Shock & Spring Kit installed today, and took the car for a spirited test drive. The results were about what I had hoped for.

Progressive springs do what they are supposed to do. In tight turns the front corner dips a bit less. Keeping the weight off the front tire helps understeer.

On long curves there is less body roll. I feel more confident that the car is flat, and with this confidence tend to push a little faster.

The trade-off of course is confront. This is NOT a bone jarring set-up, but the addition suspension rigidity is apparent.

Overall am pleased with the results.
