SS brake line install time?
How long does it take to install some ss brake lines? Apparently the design of the lines on a 350z aren't the easiest to work with but I got a quote from a shop for 3.5 hours. The person on the line said we have to bleed the brakes yada yada yada. I had it done on my Honda and it only took about an hour or so. So what's correct estimate for a shop to install it? Thanks in advance.
The install should be fairly easy but yeah bleeding may take some time. Unless we have some really strange brakes it shouldn't take 3.5 hrs. It doesn't even take that long on BBK that have 4 pistons where you 2 bleeders per caliper.
The shop charges per hour. 4 hours was the quote for installing a JIC Y-pipe and Goodridge stainless steel brake lines at $79 per hour. I was thinking it would be around 2 hours.
