Default Hawk HPS - Poor Performance

Need some feedback, installed the stoptech upgrade 2 with slotted rotors, steel lines and hawk hps pads. I did the breakin as per instructions. The brakes do not seem as grabby as with stock pads and when I apply full brakes I can barely get abs to activate ? The car does not brake as strong as it did with stock setup ?? It is very evident when you first start with cold brakes and they are weak, once you get some heat in them they work better and from 30mph stops they are good but from 50-60 mph they feel weak ? Any idea what is going wrong here ?

I've had Hawk pads with the stock rotors and now StopTech drilled and they feel just as grabby as ever.

Couple of things to consider:
1. Are you sure the rotors got cleaned thoughly? I washed mine several times before installation.
2. The rotor bedding requires more heat thus the more stops and higher speeds. The pads take less (about half as many stops and lower speeds). Maybe the pads got glazed?
3. Air in the lines? In my initial SS line install I used a bleeding vacuum pump but they didn't seem to feel grabby enough, so I had a friend pump the brakes the old fashion way. Felt better.

bed them in some more. Do about 10 quick stops from 50mph. that should do it.

Just did an autocross and they are working great now, must have needed more bedding in. Only problem is they are squaking now when you are slowing to a stop We did the pump the brakes and hold method of bleeding and did it really well so I am sure it is not air.
