i was wonderin if a set of sway bars would b a good mod, considerin they would b my first suspension modification. i was thinkin about a set of hotchkis, plus collars. also, what r the possible ramnification of buyin my friend's used bars? the only thing i can think of would b worn bushings. thanks.
All the aftermarket bars I've seen use the stock bushings, so that shouldn't be an issue. Other than that, aside from being dirty, scratched or unless the guy has nailed a parking curb with it, it's almost impossible to damage or ruin a sway bar, it'll work fine.

They are not sway bars, that was back in the late 70's.
They are now better known as ANTI ROLL BARS. Which is what they do; counter body roll not body sway
