OnaDimePBS.com 4 Pot Wilwood BBK Review
Whats up everyone! So I finally have a chance to do a review on Alex's from On a Dime Performance Brakes Wilwood BBK.
First his website is: http://onadimepbs.com/onadime350z.htm
A lot of the information about the kit is on that link but pretty much he includes his own set of larger rotors with anti-rust in black all over them, SS lines, Wilwood 4 pot calipers with mounting brackets and Wilwood Pads. He also includes an install CD.
I was going to go with used Brembos then have them powdercoated the color I wanted.. Figure around $1500 or so for some that aren't too beat up plus powdercoating (which entails taking apart the caliper assembly - $200-300) Brembos to me are an OEM part and with powdercoating and finding a set that doesnt need pads or new rotors you are probably close to $2000; Nevermind if I wanted to match the SS lines and vented and slotted rotors that come with Alex's kit you are definately looking over $2k.
I wanted to be a little different so for less than $1100 I got these brand new and they look amazing with the powdercoat and STOP really really well.
I also bought the matching rear rotors for now and Alex says he is working on a smaller piston rear 4 pot right now. If the rears are less than $1k you are looking at a front and rear BBK for aorund $2k or so. There is no better deal than that I think.
He also has 6 pots for a couple hundred more.. the only issue with them is that Wilwood uses a sticker so I couldnt do the anodized red powdercoat with the polished "Wilwood" lettering.. My car is a daily driver that does Autocross once a month. 4 pots will be plenty you know.
Comparing these to Stoptech or Brembo GT or Project Mu or Greddy/Trust 4 pots is not hard to do.. Ive driven in cars with just 4 pot front BBK with other brands and they feel and stop as close as any mild track driver will ever notice. Not only that but you are saving close to a $1000 by going with these with the custom powdercoat.
Trying to think what else to say about them. Alex over there is super nice and replies to all your emails very fast. His My350z username is OnADimePBS. Enjoy the pics.
I didnt install them but with the install CD included shouldnt be too bad. Im lazy and dont have air tools... Hardest part of the install is getting the air bubbles out of the lines.. Damn that takes a lot of fluid and time...
I have pics of my car in general under my profile here but here is a closeup of the BBk with the color of my rim and another one where you can also kinda see it (a little dark)

Todd,
Yea I told him about the bleeders. The guy who did the install also put the rotors on the wrong side. My guess is he didn't pay too much attention to the install CD. Either way, they look great Chris and I'm glad you like them!
Keep this thread updated with more pics!
Here's a few more of his calipers:
All the best,
Alex

Yea my installer didnt look at the CD... The rotors he went by the internal slots at the top of the rotor instead of the slots on the face..
When Alex gets the rears done I will have him change everything correctly...
Thats one reason I didnt want to do the review until they were done right but I wanted to get it out there how great of a deal these brakes are.

You got yours from Alex?
I dont think they stick out of the caliper like embossed style? They are etched onto the caliper.. right?
Either way 4 pot is good enough for most people including my daily driver/show car.

To make this easy, we actually just did an SL6 caliper with the stickers and this is how it turned out:
StopTech Red w/ White sticker
Hope this helps.
All the best,
Alex
