Default Z1 Motorsports 14" Akebono Big Brake Kit

Z1 Motorsports 14" Akebono Big Brake Kit (350Z/G35 Front & Rear)

Z1 Motorsports Akebono Sport Brake Master Upgrade Package for all '03+ 350z / '02+ G35 models (Coupe & Sedan)

Z1 is now offering a complete brake upgrade package for all G35 & 350Z owners looking for an economical, complete big brake kit, in comparison to the much more expensive aftermarket kits already available. Produced by Akebono Japan by request from Nissan Motors for the '09+ Nissan 370Z and the '08+ G37, the quality and durability of these calipers and hardware are undeniable.
The beauty of the Z1 Motorsports 14" Akebono brake kit, as opposed to much more expensive aftermarket brake kits, lies in the fact that it uses OEM Nissan/Infiniti parts. This means there will not be the added headache associated with extended wait periods on expensive replacement parts. Almost all of the parts found in the Z1 Motorsports Akebono Kits can be purchased from any local area Nissan or Infiniti Dealer any where in the country!

Paired with the Z1 Stainless Steel Brake Lines, your Z will have one of the ultimate brake upgrades on the market. The rear 14" Akebono Kit also works with the OEM parking brake with no modifications required.

The Standard kit includes:

    Z1 Custom Car Note:
For 350z & G35 owners who are planning on eventually Powder Coating their Brake Calipers, the standard price includes the Infiniti G37 Sport Calipers. Also produced by Akebono, these are a cheaper alternative to the NISSAN branded calipers which are available for an additional cost.

Upgrade the rotor option to the Z1 2 Piece Akebono Rotors drilled and slotted, slotted only, or the new sprinkle slotted design shown in the pics below.

    Z1 Motorsports 14" Akebono Big Brake Kit (350Z/G35 Front & Rear) $1,598

Z1 Motorsports Front 14" Akebono Big Brake Kit (350Z/G35) $898

Z1 Motorsports Rear 14" Akebono Big Brake Kit (350Z/G35) $748

No waiting on replacement pads from a BBK dealer. Pads can be found at any Nissan Dealership or a local parts store.

Very interested to see any additional pics of the red calipers (website calls them 40th Anniv).

    Edit: nevermind you slowpokes :P

... I just ordered, guess I'll see them when they get here.

Might want to warn others considering this kit - kit requires an ~11mm or 7/16" allen wrench, which was fairly hard to come by... and I work at a place that has a pretty well stocked machine shop.

    Install should be happening tomorrow

My next mod. Glad Z1 is offering these now and the fact that they have the master installation kit helps. Does the installation instruction include how to assemble the calipers? (I mean putting together all the shims and pins etc.). There is a very good DIY on the installation here but the only thing missing is the caliper assembly.
    Thanks

How does this match up to the 04 factory brembos? Would it be better to keep the brembos?

The Akebono calipers are larger than the Brembo, so there is definitely more potential to take advantage of from the Akebono kit.

The calipers come pre-assembled from Nissan.

The pins shims and pads are not "pre-assembled" in the kit. But it is fairly easy to figure out and I believe the were instructions with pics.

CZP has had this kit out for awhile now and it comes with SS lines and dot4 fluid. and if z1's pics are accurate the rear rotors match the front unlike the z1 kit

Our Akebono Brake kits were released over a year ago. Stainless steel lines are an option as we felt some people may already have SS lines that will work with the kit. The same applies to the fluids, why should someone buy something they already have?
You bring up a good point with the picture, all 4 rotors match in this kit.

Are there any other differences between Z1 and CZP Akebono packages besides ^?
