my FINAL OTD price for 05 350z, is it good?
Hey guys..
I have so far the price of
$30,500 OTD for an 05 Nissan 350z ENTHUSIAST Automatic, no side curtain, no side impact, with the typical small accessories.
I have a feeling I can do better, anyone agree?
or should I say screw it and go with this offer?

btw, I have done my research
AVERAGE INVOICE I FOUND: 27236
DEALER PROFIT OVER INVOICE : (GIVE THEM 700 profit over invoice): 27936
ADD TAX TITLE ETC: 27936 plus 2304 (TAX CA 8.25%)
=30240 ..
I pushed it to that number through the FLEET DEALER... he said that 30,600 OTD was pushing it and said he needed to talk to the owner of the dealership since going lower would cut into the dealer holdback..
is this true? I mean , I worked with the fleet manager thinking that he had the final say..but obviously...
what to do..bump tips?

Doesn't hurt to try, you don't want to regret it later. Also don't let them sell you all that extra crap you don't need, well maybe take the GAP insurance.
Also why the Auto?

See, you drive with your knees, and eat with one hand and be on the phone with the other... lol ( I know, I know, not smart )
No, I'm kidding, although that has happend once or twice. Even so I seem to drive better then most other people around me on the road while doing all of this!

mlam002,
Thats a really good price.
When I first bought the car in March of this year, I wanted to get the automatic Enth model so my wife can drive too. Perf. Nissan wouldn't give it to me at $30,500 OTD.
The next few days, I changed my mind and got the Base for 28,400. In cal, the price is usually higher than most part of the country.
What dealer gave you that price?
Tony

I got mine from Cerritos Nissan. Bought the base model since I couldnt afford the Enthusiast. My sticker price was 27,440. Got an OTD price of 27,800.
A LOT of dealerships told me msrp out the door was impossible and quoted me outrageous prices like 29500.
I just called cerritos and told the first guy who picked up the phone - look i'll pay 28,000 out the door, if u can do that deal i'll come down in half an hr to pick it up. he said he had to ok with his manager. told him to call me back. called me back in 5 minutes, said ok. when they crunched final numbers it ended up being a little less.

A big factor on the deal you can get is where you live . . . for example, Portland is not a 'sports car city.' As a result no dealer I went to had more than 2 or 3 Zs on their lot.
They were much less willing to deal given there are not many around and I was even working the internet managers. I left two different dealerships with "when you decide you can meet my offer call me."
Geography can be key to your deal.

i sold one just like that for 30k(a few months ago 2004 my though) otd with 6.5% sales tax here. Its a pretty good deal. you are so close to your number, I would just go with the guy that has put the most effort in for you, he deserves it and he will treat you the best if you ever need him...at least thats what i try to do.

I got it Nov 21st, and its a 2005. All the dealerships told me since its a 2005 that i couldnt get that price, but i did. Remember you can always do better, but once you've found a price your willing to pay for the Z, go ahead and get it.
