Damn you guys are lucky! I pay $1475 every 6 months for full coverage on the z as a secondary/fun car and liability on my subaru legacy daily driver. I'm 21 clean record, not married/live in CT and this is actually really cheap for me compared to what progressive was charging for just my Z which was 2600 every 6 months.

being from LA and currently living in NYC, i noticed that ppl pay way more for auto insurance out in the east coast.. ive talked to various buddies of mine out here that r from jersey and the boroughs and they each pay on average 2k/year with clean records too, vs a buddy of mine back in LA who drives an M3 with 5 at fault accidents and about 10 speeding tickets, he pays 1300/year =P i kno... its hard to believe myself but its actually true..
My car choices at this piont would be an IS or the Z.. the IS seems like a nice car that costs about the same as the Z... but of course the Z is way sexier and quicker, so i guess it comes down to insurance costs cuz i dont make a lot of $$.. but anyway considering that i'm gonna be in LA and the fact that i have a clean record, im hoping for about 1k or less/year

I'm living in NYC, and am paying about $1850 every 6 months. Ouch! I have one ticket (though according to Geico they are not holding it against me and I am getting the best rate they will give anyone in my area) and no accidents. I am 23, single.
I do have 250/500,000 coverage though, which def. raises my rates.

I remember a few of the guys on this board who were from the city about a year ago were having to get rid of their Z's because there was a big bump in insurance rates in the boroughs for them. They were selling them to buy more reasonable to insure vehicles.
I have Geico and they are by far the cheapest option for me. Other companies wanted like $8,000 a year to insure a Z around here.

you also have to factor in what you want for a deductable and the coverage you want.
I have my home and car insured and a life insurance policy all through State Farm and pay 130 a month and have more coverage than I could ever need.

hmm seems like ppl from ny get it up the *** the most lol, ive gotten a few price quotes already and it seems like the average going rate is around $1k - $1.5k for someone 23 years of age, single, liviing in LA, and clean record... which isnt too bad i guess, i already pay about 1k/year to go to the gym im in lol... i seriously cant wait to get my hands on a Z, im still shopping around for a new or used model

You pay $50 a month for full coverage on a Z? How in the h3ll did you manage that? Do you live on the North Pole?
I got a rough quote online... 36 years old, clean record, no accidents, no dui's, no tickets in the last 4 years and I got quoted $150 a month.
