depending on credit situations proof of income is usually only required on secondary financing or 600 or less beacons. 99% of the time it is not required through NMAC or other primary lenders. If it is there is usually a stip of PTI(payment to income) of around 15-20% of the gross monthly income(2000x.20=400/month). If you have a 700beacon score with a 300 dollar high credit, that could also be the problem
my score is fair enough i believe it is around 730 and i always made my credit card payments on time-full so i had no bad credit history at all .
I will talk with the credit union one more time and tell my situation so hopefully it can work.
If it is not going to work, it will be a pain for me to drive a cheap beater until i graduate

I would have loved to drive a Z when I was an undergrad (just a couple of years ago), but it wasn't reasonable at the time. More power to you if you can make it happen, but have you seriously thought through all of the logistics? Speaking from personal experience, I'm glad I waited because I feel like I will appreciate this car ten times more since I had to work my *** off to get in a situation where I'm realistically able to afford it.
I'm in a similar situation myself except that i have little or not credit (new to the states).. and i'm getting a monthly salary from my government to study here in the u.s. I will be trading in my current car for $9,000 but was hoping to finance/lease the rest. The dealer had a problem with financing, but i talked with him about leasing and that wasn't a problem at all.. granted i won't get any credit out of it, but i'm not going to live here in the us anyway. If credit is important for you, go for a car that your credit will allow you to handle, otherwise lease the car for the time your here. You can always finance/buy/extend your lease at the end of your term. It's worth it if you can get a car that would put a smile to your face if only you can afford it.
I'd like to share my situation here, very similar with aykut...
Parents live overseas, making $1000 a month part-time, parents also provide funds semesterly....
I was able to get two loans for me and my girlfriend's car...paying for both too. Went to nearby 3 dealerships, all approved me for a 2006 Touring, which is a $35+ loan. So I'm pretty sure you'd be okay. Plus, my credit score aint as high as you right now after getting two loans <- yup..sucks to be in debt at early age...but oh well...needed to build credit and get a car to school neways

I make almost $2000 a month, I have great credit [777], my rent is only $100 a month, and I could afford a $30k car. It's totally possible if you can get financed. Have you thought about getting a used one with low miles? You'd save quite a few thousand dollars, and you could always get a new one later down the road. JMO.
My guess is that he got denied because under other income he wrote the 1k from parents, they really can't verify that or even believe it. Next time fill it out and put 2k as your income, then should have no problem if you credit score really is what you think it is. My advice, get a copy of your credit report and make sure everything on it is correct, maybe there was a mistake on it that you don't know about. Second wait a while before going to another place, banks etc... don't like a lot of recent inquires from car dealerships, esp. if they are all nissans, thye will think something is up. I don't remember the amount of time it takes to clear a simple inquiry off the report but I am sure someone here can help with that. Good luck and maybe buy a used one for 20k.

I live in here by my self and going to college and working part time. My parents actually live overseas. I am a permanent citizen and have a good credit score between 730-750. I have also downpayment around $3000-$4000 but only thing is , since i am working just part time i am making around $1000 and getting another $1000 from the parents back home. I applied for a car loan through the credit union and they declined it because i am low income person.
I really want to get the new z, i am a permanent resident, job, have a good gpa in school, but only dont make enough income. So please tell me what should i do ? I dont have somebody to co-sign for me so it is not an option. I know it is hard to get but there should be a way that i believe somebody in here might had the same or similiar experience.
I told i might get my bank statements from back home that shows my parents are sending me money every month but i dont know it can help or not. Please give some suggestions thanks

Thanks everyone for quick and friendly responses. I knew that people here share similar experiences with me
Lax9118: It is 6 months , i believe. I will try what you say after i wait couple more months. This time , i will write totally 2000 instead of just saying i am making $1000 part time and getting $1000 from the parents etc. It might work hopefully.
I checked my credit score through the freecredit.com but also will check through the Equifax next time just to see any mistakes involve or not.
I thought about getting a used one but there is a big differences between 2006 and previous models thats why i like to get a new one.
But anyways i really feel better after seeing how people are friendly and willing to help each other in this nissan community. You Guys are awesome and great , thanks for all effort and friendly responses .
