Default $33,500???

I have been in the market for a Z roadster. I found a new 05 touring silverstone with orange vented seats, 6 speed, aluminum kick plates, floor mats, trunk mat, convienence net. The sticker is $37,730 i think and they offered it to me for $33,500. How is that for a deal. I live about 4 hours away from the dealership and have only had one email from them and they said $33,500 do you think I could get them down any lower? www.edmunds.com says the invoice is $34,878.

maybe a little more to work with, offer 1k less and see what happens. remember there will be sales tax, tag fees, titling fees, and of course the dealers profit "Dealer Fee" on top of the sales price.

If the dealer has 2006s on the lot, and this is the last 2005, the dealer may be desperate and accept $33,000. I doubt it, but its worth a try. Make an offer.

$33,500 plus tax & license is reasonable deal. If the dealer adds any other costs/fees/"extras" on top, walk away.

the dealer said that $33,500 plus tax and title and no other fees. I need to try to get a day so I can go make the deal because I just started a new job and am now working two jobs. One job I am a Registered Nurse working this job monday through friday and on the weekends I am working in a grocery store. So that leaves little time to drive 4 hours one way to buy a car.

lol. The dealer emailed me back today and ask If I was still interested in the car. I think since it is Dec 13 they are really wanting to move car since most people are christmas shopping and not car shopping along with it is only a couple weeks till the new year. Do you think it would be a better idea to get financing before going to the dealership and taking a check and telling them that is what I will give them for the car?

take the check with you, but if the dealer gives you a better rate, cancel that check.

plus it is better to have the cash with you in person when negotiating. This lets the dealer know that you mean business. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

I see they dropped the prices since your previous topic. In there, you stated they offered you the car at 35,000. If they dropped it to 33,500, see if you can get some more. Good luck!

I just got an offer from another dealer for a new 05 touring 6 speed, 18" wheels, splash guards, floor mats, trunk mat, convienence net, aluminum kick plates. This roadster is PPW with blue top he said $33,500 the sticker on this one is something like $38800. I am wondering if I can get the first dealer to go cheaper since this one offered at the same price has the 18" wheels and the first one does not it has the 17"

I have not had a chance to go get the Z yet. I am goign to get the 05 touring roadster. They emailed me and said $33,000 if i take delivery on or before 1/3/06 but there is a problem they are not open today and tomorrow I have to work all day and they close at 5pm and i work till 3:30pm and the dealer is about 3 hours away. I figure they will still sell it to me for $33,000 when I get there if they want to sell the car because they dont have anyone else interested in it.
