Default Really Important please Help ASAp

so i put a down payment on my z and my fiance is there picking it up right now and they are saying they cannot give me any type of sevice report from the previous owner.. they said that everything clears once the car has been traded in. is this true? please help in need to know asap

I am not sure exactly what you are asking. A Nissan maintenance report on a used 350Z based on the VIN?

yes. they are saying that once the vehicle is traded in they cannot give me the info of what the previous owner had done.

So the Nissan maintenance data base is wiped clean when the vehicle is traded-in. Sounds like bologna to me.

What about a carfax report, did they give this to you so you could verify that it wasn't wrecked?

Where in CT did you buy the Z?

davidv yea sounds funny but still under factory warranty and im gonna take it to my buddies shop for compression tests and the whole 9

i do have the carfax and everything shows up fine. the car is being bought in north haven

They should be able to at least give you a Carfax. That's for sure.

As for the maintainence records...I don't think they have to release that info.

Its possible that you may have symptoms of buyers anxiety. Take the Z for a cruise this evening. Hit red line a couple of times. You'll soon forget if the previous owner had the headlight fogging service bulletin completed.

I agree, get a carfax report. Also, check the vital fluids and parts. If your buying it from a nissan dealership it should be inspected in all the working mechanical parts including engine, drivetrain, suspension and all moving parts.

thanks guys all the comments make feel alittle more comfortable. i was just nervous because this is the most money i have dropped on a car.

davidv you are also correct just took it for a spin.. i forgot about everything even the payments

o is that right off the highway? If its the dealership im thinking about, there very nice people. i remember visiting them for a test drive, i believe his name was andrew, or something liek that, he was spanish fat guy, very nice people! you should be alright!!
