what do you guys think about that? lol.. biased opinion much?

the only way this is gonna happen is if they make an even trade in on my car for a Z enthusiast.

That will never happen. Dealers wont (in no way) go even or lose money.

If I liked 4 door I would trade ya stright up, but I got too much money in my Z to trade for a car that will be twice as much on insurance and is no where nrear as sexy as the Z

how will they lose money?? a dealer can easily turn around and sell an sti for 30k..

btw- im getting rid of it because of insurance..and the sti is no where near stock.

i guess you can say the z looks nicer .. haha

Because mods generally don't help resale value. They might even hurt it.

^^ mods dont help your trade in value, but they help the dealers resale ...

i know i wont get anyhting for the mods. i was just saying that because of the previous post about the guy trading me his car.

davidv- maybe i do smoke too much, but i highly doubt they are going to let me go empty handed...

well see tomorrow.. i tell each dealer to call ONLY if this will be an even trade.

im not looking for performance anymore, i ran an 11.98 last night at the track, this car is too quick for me and the police in my area know it very well, if u know what i mean. so i need a new ride.

If you're not looking for performance then you'll love the Z. But stepping down to less power and AWD to RWD...you'll feel that the Z is a bit slow.

My advice would be to sell the STI privately (if it's priced right, it'll sell quick) and then you won't get screwed by the dealer.

Private is definately the way to go, as maximXL just stated... that way you can definately get the money for the mods, and the work you put into the car, versus losing that money to the dealership, who wants a stock car.

In the dealer's eye, a stock car sells to a broader range more so than a modified car.
