Default Is this a decent deal to work with?

I have been emailing back and forth with the internet sales manager at a dealership in the OC. I requested info on an Enthusiast AT Convertible Z and this is the info she gave me.

"I have reworked the lease on a Convertible Enthusiast Roadster 350Z. The price of that vehicle is $36,910. I am leasing it to you for $35,296 which is really lower than I should go, but I am trying to start out with a huge beginning on April. The lease at 36 months is $558.83 per month with $980 drive offs. The money factor is 2.06, and the residual is 54%. I don't give out invoices, but trust me I should be $400 higher on this deal, and I just want to earn your business."

The price seems ok based on the info I saw on Edmunds, the money factor is weird (never seen a number over .00##) and the residual value seems pretty fair. Is this a decent starting point or walk away and try someone else?

I'm kinda new to this site, so any help is appreciated! Thanks!

The money factor is really 0.00206, dealer just drops all the "00" upfront. That's a dang good rate for lease. I don't know what options you added, but if you look at Edmunds their invoice pricing is spot on. I know there's people here who will say "pay under invoice", but my mind if you get it at invoice it's a good deal. I was looking at the "Z" and dealer quoted with no negotiation $200 over invoice - still looking at what to buy (up in the air on G35 or 350Z).

Default thanks

Thanks for all the comments...

1) I never trust car salesmen, but these numbers seemed really good without ANY negotiating at all. I really dont even know where to negotiate from this point. Could I go lower on the sales price? The resid. value is better than anyone has offered me before and so is the money factor? Obviously, this is meaningless until I walk into the dealership and find out that "the rate is no longer available"

2) its a woman - never dealt with a woman car sales person before (not sexist, just maybe a different experience??) Anyone have better experiences with women sales people (guess that may mean nothing since the numbers dont come from them anyways)

3) This car is the Burgundy enthusiast, AT, convertible

4) The comment about purchasing has really crossed my mind, as if I could get around 6% rate with some money down I could get about the same payment.

5) This dealer is Family Nissan Rancho Santa Margarita.

Any more tips? Any room to negotiate on this one? Thanks again! Hoping to join the Z family soon!!!!

Good luck on the car man...I was there at that dealership when I was looking at some Z's...they've got some awesome people working there...make sure you look at the color again though...they don't make the brickyard anymore...if it's a new car it's the IF color, which a lot of people like, I think it's ok
