I was a first time car buyer, financing through nissan and with credit score of 750+. My rate was 6.29% because of my first time buyer status. My parents with excellent credit and who have bought many cars would have gotten 5.7% at a 60 month term.

nissanusa.com - they have a calculator right on the site for you to put in your own down-payment and interest rate to calculate monthly payment. Play with numbers for 5 minutes and you have all the answers.
I am in Pennsylvania where we have 6.00% sales tax. I bought my 2006 Enthusiast (6-spd) for $28,300 which was $300 below invoice for the particular factory options that came with it (side air bags, splash guards, etc.). They talked me into buying an extended warrant because they offerred me the 7-yr / 100k mile for the same price as the 5-yr / 60k mile warranty, so that was an additional $1,200.00. They gave me $13,000 for my trade-in, I put an additional $2,000 cash down, and they gave me 5.54% APR for 60 months. My monthly payment ended up being $297.00.
I am about to pay my second monthly payment (this thing is brand new), but as I understand it I will pay less in the end if I pay the car off quicker. I am hoping to pay this off in 48 months instead of 60, which means (i think) that I would end up paying 5.54% less if I pay it off in 48 months vs taking the entire 60 month term.

umm...It depends on how your lender applies your payments. Most of them only take a set monthly amount and apply the remaining extra payment to the next month (unless you payoff the car entirely). Interest is top heavy. It means that the first and second year's interest are the heaviest... once you get past the first 2 years, the majority of your payment is basically applied to the principal balance. So if you are going to pay it off, do it in the first 2 years.

0 Down, can't remember APR, payments 575, out the door for 25,500. And it's Interlagos Fire. Great when one of your best friends owns the dealership.

Question!: I'm in Houston, and I was looking to buy a used Z but after reading your posts, and at your prices OTD, I'm wondering how you guys are getting 2K below MSRP off KBB. Nissan dealership websites are showing 31K @ best. And calling them doesn't make it budge much. Think a walk in negotiation deal could get it down to 28K like you guys? Then @ that rate a Touring could be well bought for 32K OTD?
