Im planning to buy a car from a guy who still owe a small amount of money on the car but my only problem is giving him the money and not having anything in collateral. Also has anyone ever done this and how safe is it?

 

Put it through a bank or excrow company to be sure lien holder is paid off. No seller should object. If he does you know sometning is wrong.

 

Do not buy a car with a lien against the title.
