Fair price for a "new" 35th Anniversary?
I recently saw a black 35th Anniversary for sale, it is advertised as new (it hasn't been titled) yet it has 700+ miles. They told me the sticker price is $40,000 with room for negotiation. What does everyone think would be a fair price for me to offer? on Carmax I can get a new 06 touring for around 31,000 and if I would have to pay significantly more for the 05 I don't think it would be worth it.
Any help would be appreciated.

I bought my balck 35th last August. MSRP was 39,740. It has every possible option and I got it for just about 35,000 and that was almost a year ago so no way on 40,000. You should be able to do even better than I did at this point.
That said, I know there very little difference between the 05 35th and an 06 GT but theres something cool about having the 35th. I especially love the two tone leather seats. No one else can get those...I really don't think they will appreciate at any different level than a non 35th but its fun to tell people that it is the 35th anniversary edition. Now if we could only get that nice interior plaque that they got in Canada.

I was looking to go used as well but it doesnt make sense. I am currently buying a new 06 touring for $30800

I was looking at a 35th anniversary a couple of months back; in fact I almost bought it. MSRP was $41k. They begged me to take it at $8k off. They could have gone lower if I was willing to sign the papers then and there.

if its a new 35th....you so can get an awesome price if you know how to bargain. That dealer must be hurting to get rid of that car. However, someone out to be dumb enough to buy it for 40k. I wouldn't over a dime over 32k.

Listed ask prices tell you nothing about what things actually sell for.

A 35th anniversary will soon be 2 model years old once the 07 comes out... 40k is REALLY high especially at this point in the game...like someone said before, some places are offering 8k off the anniversary cars...I'm in so cal and Tustin Nissan was gonna give 8.5k off but it was yellow...not a huge fan...I'm pretty sure you can work this thing down to about 34k OTD with TTL...good luck with the purchase...you won't be disappointed either way!
