Good news for anyone buying from a AutoNation owned dealer...
Check out this link. "Get into the Z at MSRP." AutoNation owns all of the Bankston dealerships in D/FW. If you think you are going to run into ANY ******** or shenanigans with your dealer, just let AutoNation corporate know. Next day, you'll be right as rain.
Yep. Got mine at Lithia Springs Nissan in GA. They gave me no problems.
Now how to convince them not to drill holes in the bumper...

Yep - Pre-ordered mine at John Elway Nissan in Denver (An Autonation Dealership). No games or BS and ordered at MSRP.
Still no confirmation or package though and ordered on 5/17.

It's good to see another denverite on the board.
I ordered mine frome the Elway North.
ordered 4-24
placed 1mo. later I think going by the info about packet #'s
I got my packet couple weeks ago,but still have only a verbal conformation, nothing from Nissan yet. going by the number of users it looks like there will only be 3 Z's in our area (Right
Info around here is like 350Z sightings, verrrry verrry rare
Hang in there you should get your packet soon

Team Nissan in Marietta, Ga is an autonation dealer as well. However they add Lojack and paint sealer protection bs to their cars (~$2500) that is mandatory. Actually they add paint protection to all their cars for $1000.
Back in Feb they wanted $5000 over MSRP. But since that was apparentley frowned upon by Nissan, they are now at MSRP+Lojack+paint sealer.
Needless to say I found another dealer in Atlanta for MSRP.

Team Nissan is only a few miles from my house, but they insisted on selling for over MSRP. First it was $5000 then it was $3000 now it is the paint protection and LowJack. I have not and will not purchase a vehicle from them. Gwinnett place Nissan has been great (MSRP plus mandatory marketing fee $250), and it is my second purchase form their dealership.
My Silverstone performance model should be here is early september.

Team Nissan in Marietta, (just north of Atlanta) was my first contact regarding a Z car. It didn't take me long to realize that they were NOT getting my business for the same reasons mentioned above. Ordered from Town Center Nissan 4 days after they opened the doors and was one of the first on the list without the ridiculous add-ons at Team Nissan. So far so good but the jury is still out. I will not be a satisfied customer until my expectations are met and that certainly includes getting my Z when I expect it and how I requested it, (no dealer stickers, no extra miles, etc.)

I ordered from Town Nissan as well...and I'm with you -- the jury's out till I see my car.
I did find out who the distribution person talks to there -- and in her words, if she has an order number, he has it too.

Seeing that Town Center Nissan opened not long ago (maybe in June), did they tell you when your cars were gonna be delivered. They advertised that they had 20+ cars to sell, but they only had about 2 weeks to do so. I was wondering if they would see any cars in sept/oct.
Town Center told me August (which is obviously not happening). I called the distribution person for Town Center at Regional today, and she said that I don't have an order number yet, so she believes I will be in the Oct/Nov timeframe.
I'm not sure what number I was. I know on the nissan mailings, I'm like 6231 (don't quote me on the exact number, somewhere in the 6200 range)
If you call Town Center, talk to Larry Schultz. I actually talked to Nissan SE Regional this morning, but she told me Larry has all the info she has.
If he doesn't have an order number yet, it means Oct/Nov most likely (she gave no guarantees when I spoke to her)

Zspot,
Who did you talk to at Gwinnett Place Nissan to find out when your car would get here? I also ordered from them and would love to get a timeframe as to when mine is coming in.

Call Mr. Luck (sp) (if you can get him).
