I hear there are minor problems on the 03-04 models for the Z. So I would say go for a 06 Z.

I have an 03 and love it, But I did have a problem with the gears grinding, which then had a new tranny put in my car under warranty. But I would suggest a Z.

1. because your young like me, and don't really need the extra space the g35 offers.

2. You won't have to haul around more then 1 friend.

A g35 is more for the people with a family.

You couldn't really go wrong on either choise. So it's basically up to what look you preferre. But imagine driving one of these

Thats a nice Z.... Im pretty sure ill get 05-06 model maybe an 07 if I save up a couple extra bucks.... Also I'd like to get the black model Z... I work at an autobody shop so I'd like some good choices on body kits. Nothing to extreme but a nice clean look

My brother has a black Z. It's just very hard to keep clean. Hope you find what your looking for. If you don't mind me asking. How much you planning on puting out for a Z?

Because if you would want you could find some really nice modded and maybe turboed or supercharged Z's on Modifiedcartrader.com and autotrader.com for less then $30,000. Just a suggestion.

Drive both the G35 and the Z. Study the options you will be getting so you know what you are paying for. You may or may not want or need them. The pricier Z models have comparable gear to the G35 except no sun roof, no back seat, and Infinity gives a longer warranty all for about $1500 more than a Z Touring. However, if you are a driving enthusiast, you'll probably end up with a Z, but it boils down to your personal tastes. Do you research and test drives. Good luck and enjoy.

Did you check Consumer Reports? The cost is a smart investment for car buyers.

I had the same dilema myself.
Go and Drive one, that was the deciding factor for me.

The G35 is bigger, but you really can't fit any decent sized people in the back, ie my bestfriend that is 6'3, which made me think it was pretty useless.

I also felt it was heavier in the corners and braking.
So I went with the Z and am happy I did
