Default GSX to a Z

Whats up guys?

Arrite, yea like the title says..

I currently own a 97 Eclipse GSX (AWD) and im looking into buying a Z.

The problem im having is that the Z would be my only car if i get it. Im not sure how it does in the Snow?
Is it hard driving it in the snow? I have no idea since im coming from an AWD car and ive never had a problem.

And i really dont want to wait till after winter because ill prolly spend the money i have saved up for a new car. So gimme your input.

well if you search for winter tires. there are plenty of threads thay say the Z handles well with good snow tires. You can def. drive it in the snow.

Welcome. Please search snow. With 499 posts it is certainly a controversial topic.

No RWD car can be comparabe to an AWD car in the snow. You will notice a difference.

ok... i drove with stock summer tires in snow (1-4 inches), ice, rain, whatever condition you can name...
what i can say is... if you plan to do it the way i did... just becareful ... watch for black-ice, learn to drift and counter-steer, if you need to go up a hill... get mommentum or you will need to call the tow-truck
(i actually unplugged VDC in the winter months)
i slipped once on black-ice at 35, got lucky didnt crash, the people who witnessed it couldnt believe my countersteering and car balance skills...
i lost momentum going up hill in 2inches of snow once and had to get some guys with a pick up truck to pull me out...
but thats about it... its not THAT bad... but thx god I got an awd bmw daily driver now
