Are you locked in after signing a sales order?
I am trading up to an '07 Z but I am looking over the sales order I signed for a dealer locate. And it looks like I screwed up and paid too much for the car. It has down that I paid $32,120 before taxes and everything. For an '07 Daytona Blue Enthusiast 6-Speed with floor mats, trunk mat, and aero package. When the Invoice according to consumer reports is $28,526 and the Nissanusa.com MSRP is $30,905. I am going to call them tomorrow and say what the hell is this but if I signed this(they haven't found a car yet) am I screwed? Also, does $21,000 seem high for a dealer trade in on a Great condition '05 Enthusiast with 20k miles? Because that is what they gave me for it. Did they inflate mt trade in to make it sound better and jack up the MSRP? I mean if I ***** and they lower the price $2k would they then lower the trade in value of the car to $19k? What are my options here?

What do you think about the prices though? You think they will lower the trade in value if I ***** and it would just be a pain in the *** with no benefit to try to lower the MSRP?

32,000 before tax + fees? You're getting raped buddy. Go to another dealer...say something like i want to cancel my order because i got a better offer from another dealer...a LOT better deal.

I heard about the whole its not sold until delivery too. In 2001 I signed the papers for a new car and even put a downpayment in for it. I I went to the dealership to cancel because i found a better deal and althought they claimed I could not cancel the contract I simply put a stop payment on my check for which cost me 25 dollars and never heard from them since then.

You never bought the car until you took it off of the lot- Guaranteed...and it will stand up in court.
Sale= taking delivery...which means driving the biotch home.
Lets say you inked the deal and were supposed to come back the next day to pick it up and something happened to your trade on the way home- ie- not sold until its delivered.

With regards to the final price (you stated $32K) do you see line items for gap insurance, extended service agreements, or any additional services? The dealer I purchased from tried to sneak this stuff in on me, although I did get the gap insurance. They stated that they just "tack it on" to every car sold because "most" buy the options anyway.

I wonder if any of you understand what a contract is?
"contract - An oral or written agreement between two or more parties which is enforceable by law."

I'm a real estate broker, developer, and home builder. I deal with contracts every day. If you sign a contract, you are bound to comply with the terms.
Stupidity does not void a contract.
