Are you locked in after signing a sales order?

And as noted, barring language to the contrary, it is non-cancellable and irrevocable. And most definitely "...enforceable by law."

I am not saying I am smart, nor am I saying you are stupid - but dude, looks like you've been here (on the forum) for a while; and I (am guessing) are aware of how to deal with cars. How cud you make such a noobie mistake (if you will)???
Don't you realize your signature means a lot? Even it is on a blank piece of paper? Good Luck, and let us know what happens.

It will depend on the laws of your state. I can't imagine anyone being forced to go through with a purchase they didn't want and that hasn't caused expenses to the dealership yet. What are they going to do if at the last minute you couldn't get financing?
The bigger question is your deposit. Years ago I was surprised to find out in my state(from a second Dealer) that I would get it back and the second dealer even said they would reimbuse me the deposit if I didn't(seems they weren't worried). They said I'd be hassled, but in the end they would have to give it back. I got it back right away when I gave them a sob story of medical bills. I had no qualms as they were not honest with me about some questions that led to my original decission.
You and other posters brought up the other things you should look at before you pull the plug. Is another dealer going to give you the same amount for your trade in? Were there add-ons, like extended warranty or fees that another dealer wouldn't add on?

When I bought my Avalanche, I had a horrible experience and found out that there was a 3 or 5 day period in which either party can cancel the sale about 2 days after the period was up for me. If/when I buy a 350, I pity the first few salesmen I get ahold of, I've got baggage like a humped and dumped sorority girl. Check your states' laws, maybe better business bureau or a similar consumer advocate group, and you may not have a problem at all.

I don't think your trade is worth the 21k they showed you, although I'm sure it's a nice car. The actual cash value of a 2005 350z enth. w/20k car is probably around $19,000.
Also, with options like side airbags and aero pack. you can run invoice over $30,000.
I don't think this deal is as bad as it may seem, but the equipment of the car will be important to know.

In WA state if you don't drive the car off the lot it is not delivered and thus not your vehicle yet. That's why many dealers are like "Lets go for one last drive to make sure everything is okay." Once the exhaust tips leave the property lines of that dealership it is yours. I had a friend who signed every single page of documents at the dealership to find out as he was about to pull away in his brand new nsx his wife said the final "COME HOME RIGHT NOW." The dealership went crazy and tried to calm her down and convince her it was the right decision lol. In the end he walked away a free man and I don't think that dealership will take kindly to him the next time he is interested in buying a car.

I'm a real estate broker, developer, and home builder. I deal with contracts every day. If you sign a contract, you are bound to comply with the terms.
Stupidity does not void a contract.

i work at a dealership. what people dont' know is that even though they signed the paper where it cleary says "once off the lot, its your car", if you decide a couple days later you dont want it, you can call your finance company and tell them you don't like it and refuse to pay. Once the finance company knows you wont' be making payment because you don't like the car, they can bring the car back without your credit messing up.
