Default Two owners?

Guys,

Looking for some general opinions here.

Would you consider buying a used Z which has had two previous owners? (You will be the third one). The miles are quite average and the condition of the car is pretty good. I know the car will depreciate a lot when I plan to sell it - but other than that, what do you all think?
(Let me know if you need more info).

Two responsible owners are better than one idiot.

Hmmmm.....something to ponder about.

(I read various posts from various 06 owners. Some say they have the problem, some say they don't. And like someone mentioned, since there is 'word in the air' that 06s have oil consumption issue, everyone seems to join the bandwagon and blow the issue out of proportion.)

Thanks for the pointer. Will have to pay extra attention to this thing. Any other technical issues you can think of?

I would be very concerned that a roughly one year old car has already had two owners.

Think about it, what would make someone that originally wanted to buy the car sell it so quickly. It sounds like the car has issues.

And almost 20K miles on a 2006 is kind of high for this type of car especially since you're not in a sunbelt state.

didn't the 2006s hit the market in 2/06? Even if it was first off the lot its barely a year old and its had two owners?

I would fear some sort of problem with the car.

The second owner bought the car (from a dealer) with 1000 odd miles on it. The second user then put like 13K miles in like 5-6 months (close to 2K miles a month ). Sorry, the car has <15k miles on it, not 20k as intially reported.

2 owners may not mean anything. Or it could be a clue to some problem.

There are lots of used Zs out there. Why take a chance on anything unusual?

Question

Did you drive the car? Like it? Buy it?

Don't know that two owners means anything.

Do both have maintenance records? Get Carfax on each. Have mechanic thoroughly inspect the car you choose.

Sorry, didn't mean to dig up dead posts....but just wanted to let you all know.

No, I did not go for the two owner car.
Well, intially I made up my mind and decided to go for it. But the seller was leaving the country soon and I could not arrange for things in the short period.

(BTW, I am not sure if you saw my other post - I purchased a 2005 Enthusiast, Black, 18,000 miles, Manual, Rays rims (6 spokes), Brembo brakes, one owner, from a private individual in VA. Will post the pics later today. 23K + tax/tags = ~24,500.). I am yet to get the MD inspection done - hope nothing big comes up during the inspection.

Thanks all!
