Default Help choose which Z to get

Hi everyone,

First off, this is a great site and I've been using it a lot in the past few days. Soon to be Z owner here looking for some help from more experienced Z owners. I initially was looking to get a new 07, but after much consideration, it looks like I'll have to get a used one instead. I've located 3 potentials in my area and can't decide which is best. So hopefully you guys can help me decide.

1. 2004 Black Touring, ~36k mi, $23,999
(Used Car Dealer that is literally down the street from my house, <5 min away)

2. 2003 Black Touring, ~15k mi, $23,995
(Another used car dealer. This one has an aftermarket sound system and the orange leather seats, which I really like)

3. 2003 Black Track, ~57k mi, $17,995
(Nissan Dealership in another state. Would be nice to have the Brembos. Should I be worried about the high mileage?)

So what's the best/safest choice? These are asking prices, do you think I have room to haggle on any of these? If so, how much to offer?

I really can't decide which one to seriously go after. I'm planning to go test drive all of them this weekend, so hopefully that will give me more insight about each car. Let me know what you guys think, any help is greatly appreciated!

the price on the '03 Track seems more in the ballpark than the other 2....'03's had lots of issues...search in here for what they were and ask dealer if they have all been addressed....I would lean toward the '04 and get them down a couple K....check www.kbb.com to see approx. what you could be looking at...good luck

Welcome. The winner is the one with the least mileage.

All 3 are OK choices.

I think the 03 Touring (#2) for $24k is a bit expensive but it's your safest/best bet.

But I'm partial to 03 Tracks. I wouldn't worry so much about the mileage given the price being so low, but you're more likely to have problems with a higher mileage car. The other 2 are probably better choices although by saving almost $6k you will have extra money for any maintainence or repairs. That's always nice.

Usually the winner is the one with the lowest mileage, but in this case I'd go with the '04 and try to bargain 'em down another couple thousand or so. The '03's had too many problems. I'd stay away, even with the low mileage.
