Default No More orders for 07's?

Hey guys,
I will be getting a Z most likely next month, so I am working out the details now, visiting dealers and looking at inventory. My first choice would be a black or SMB Enthusiast w/ MT, however here in FL at least, Enthusiasts are scarce, out of the few that I have seen available, most are MT...this leads to a very limited choice. So far in my inventory searches I have seen 2 or 3 Enthusiasts, with MT, but in either silver alloy or carbon silver.
I asked one of the dealers that had the silver alloy one about the possibility of ordering one to my specifications and he could not guarantee me it was possible because Nissan was slowing down production already of the 07's.
Now today i was calling CarsDirect to find out a bit more about how they work and about the possibility of getting one to my specs. The guy said that Nissan has stopped production of 07's and there's no way of ordering it anymore. There are some still in the ports etc..but they are no longer taking orders for new 07's. They said they might still be able to get one out of whats available but no more orders.
I was wondering if any of you guys have heard something similar? As far as no more 07's being produced. It seems like a pretty short production run given that the 07 just came out on january/Feb or so...and not even 5 months later they've stopped production?
It seems i might have to settle for either a Base in the color i want or an Enthusiast MT in a color I am not too crazy about....

Call Nissan USA and get the correct info on ordering an 07.

Personally, I would not compromise on what I want.

Have you checked dealers throughout Florida and nearby states?

Yeah, that doesn't make sense. They just started shipping them in January. Only 4 months of production???

Called nissan and they could not tell me, they put me on hold only to come back and tell me they did not know.....so much for nissan itself not being sure. They suggested I talk to a dealership fleet manager.
The carsdirect guy seemed pretty sure of it...he said Nissan has a special factory just for the Z, and unfortunately they were no longer taking new orders and they were tied to whatever's available now in the country and in the ports en route here.....

They will tell you anything to sell you a car they have in stock.

Example; When I was looking for an 07 Ppw 6mt Z one dealership "Checked" the inventory to see if any dealers had it. According to him the last one in the state was sold the day before so I called 4 other dealerships to be sure and 2 of them had the car both were within 30 mins driving. DONT TRUST STEALERSHIPS

I was wondering too how accurate those dealer checks could be...I mean are dealers able to check inventories for other dealers not associated to them? or are they checking the same thing I am checking which is the Nissan page inventory which form what i hear is not up to date.
The thing of course with most of the dealerships around here is they do not have any MT Enth. in stock to start with...

dealership just does not want to order you the car, its a pain for them. go to another dealership.
if its a hard to find car another dealer might not want to part with it, so dealer trades can be tough sometimes too.

Well they might not be taking any more special orders but are pumping out a month or two of production before retooling for 2008.

I bet they are still making (and shipping) for at least a few months. Get what you want don't compromise.

I just spoke to a dealer, he said he'd call be back...20 minutes later he called me back. Turns out there's about 10 SMB and 10 Black Enthusiasts with MT but they all are out of state and they would be dealer transfers. He also spoke to the fleet manager and confirmed for me that Nissan is no longer taking orders for new 07's....
I'll keep looking but seems i might have to settle for base in SMB/Black or Enthusiast in silver locally..or dealer trade. Somehow dealer trade doesnt give me a warm feeling....I guess if the car comes in and its somehow flawed I'm stuck with it, also they lose the holdback so they'll probably jack up the final price...

Your not stuck with the car until you sign the final papers, only pay what you want to pay dont seem desperate for the car.

I would talk to another dealer. According to others sounds like you are getting jacked around.

As far as deal transfers goes, it can get damaged just like one you order. Its not like they come out of the factory and have them teleported to your dealer.

Don't be afraid to walk away. It is not like they have stopped making Z cars.

If you are buying a new 350 you are spending a lot of money and should get what you want (or close) Don't give up.

I sold Toyotas for 3 years and i was forced by my desk manager to run the same game on countless numbers of uneducated customers. They are lying to you because its not easy to get an exact car through a dealer trade.

My advice is to wait for what you want. Nissan nakes the car you want but for whatever reason the dealer doesnt have access to it so they are lying to you to sell you what they have, or can get for you asap.

Hardline those ****** on what color and package you want and it will miraculously be available within the week (maybe even the same day).

Oh and btw, dont pay more than invoice.
