Default 2007 Nismo Z pre-order?

The '07 Nismo Z is coming out in a little bit more than a month.

I've already seen some Nissan execs driving one around the Carson, CA area.

Has anyone here reserved one from their local dealer?

I've been trying to but most dealers I've called haven't even heard of the damn thing.

I found one that claims they will be getting 10 but can't give me a sticker.

Anyone else have any luck?

I have been working with a friend who owns a Nissan dealership. There is no pricing yet. Should be out soon. I have asked him to preordered me a Silver Alloy. I also keep checking this site to see if a pricing announcement is made.

I put $500 down for a red one 3 weeks ago. It took the dealer like a week in a half but he got me one. He told me it would be in about end of July. He told me the whole souther region was soupose to only get 78.

I'd wait until the 3.8RS comes out.

Thanks! $38K sounds about what I have heard. Dealer said he has my car locked in and it should be shortly after the release date July.

I asked the dealers around here and they won't release a price yet.
I bet it'll be around the area that the article above stated.

Per David M. with Nissan Sport this is the MSRP.

Mark- there was no specific information on a release date. Our source is internal to Nissan and you can expect to see the same press release on Nissannews later today or tonight.

I was really stoked about getting the nismo version but i decided to just pick up a normal 07 enth. Doing some reading and comparisons on the new rigidity and welding zones, The car is going to be a lot stiffer i think anywhere they say 20%-40%, dont quote me there. Some of the test drives spoke of the great track performance capabilities of the car but then talk about how this car would be difficult to drive daily cause of its harsh response to bumps and stuff. I mean love the car but as a daily it might be too harsh unless your used to aggressive suspension settings before.

Yea I have tests that say it is OK ride wise & test that say it is too stiff. We'll see...... It won't be a daily driver for me anyway.

I agree. It can't be worse than the crappy OEM shocks on the 03 Z's.

3 days ago my buddy that works at nissan corp. office, said that the nismo Zs arent even built yet. Because I want to put a deposit down, and he said that as soon as he gets a VIN number, he can take the deposit to associate it with the VIN, but he says as of now, there are no VINS even reported.
