Potential new owner of 05 enthusiast - some questions
Hey all, I saw a pretty good deal on an 05 black enthusiast with 19k miles (1 owner) and am seriously considering purchasing it. When I went to see it it was in perfect condition apart from a couple things. On the rear bumper, driver side above the exhaust there are what looks like some rock chips or something - the dealer said he would have their body guy do something to fix it (not sure what).
Also the passenger side rear quarter panel has what looks a couple small chips that were touched up but aren't that noticeable.
My dad was with me and he also mentioned that the shifter vibrates too much when driving. I thought it was pretty normal for a Z.
They're asking 23k, now my questions are: is it normal for there to be vibrations in the shifter and also based on the following pictures, how bad do you think it would be to fix (dealer said body guy would fix up the exhaust one) and if this is a good deal (everything else is IMMACULATE in and out):

Hard to tell from the pics but my guess is that the rear bumper has been taken off before and laid facing down on the ground. That is why you have those bumps. Normal wear and tear will not give you chips like that. As for vibration inthe shifter you will get some in the Z. Since we are not there to tell if it's normal or not you probably need to test drive a few for yourself to gauge if the vibration is excessive or not.
Welcome. Chips on the front bumper would not be unusual for a 350Z with 19,000 miles. Not on the rear.
And it seems like JDMFairladyZ33 is reading my mind today: Can’t tell a thing about the shifter unless I drive the car.
