The tires are expensive for sure. Rears you should go through twice as fast as the fronts (many report getting only 10-12k miles on the rears) and those are going to cost you 200-300 each.

Its always been recommended to me not to have more than half my annual income in assets that are going down in value(IE cars). You will be pushing that with a new 350 alone but if you went used and kept your truck you should be ok.

this is becoming the dillema... do i go used(2005-2006) or do i just say F-it spend about 5-7k more and go with the 07? I mean is the 07 THAT much better than the 2005 or 2006? i read that they are supposed to be way faster and torque-ier... I need a car thats gonna jerk my neck back at the line... I need to go test drive an 07, but im a bit intimidated cause ive read that they dont let just anyone test drive em... I did test drive an 03 auto the other day and i loved it!!!! i LOVED the way it sounded, and that was with STOCK exhaust!!!

If you plan on going FI or heavily mod, an 06 and down might be a better choice. BUT if somehow, you can stay stock, 07.

Most people say that a new car is one of the worst purchases you can make because you lose ~20% as soon as you drive it off the lot. On the other hand, you are saving yourself a potential headache dealing with other people's ragging on the car. You know that you are getting a clean slate and everything you do to it, you know whats going on.

When I got my Prelude, I detailed that car like I've never detailed before! Q-tipped the crevices, removed the dash and cleaned the vents, pulled out the seats and shampoo'd etc.. that thing was hideously dirty; if it had been from me, I wouldn't have cared, but who knows what went on in that car!

New car, thats my call.

yeah a new car would be ideal, but if i can get close to the same performance as the 07 from an 06 that has very low miles and costs 6Gs less or so, i might do that...

hey guys ill ask this here since i dont want to start another thread and you've all been kind enough to answer my noob questions...

anyways, can someone please link me to a thread that has a list of aftermarket wheels (19inch) and their weights? theres gotta be one out there and i searched but couldnt find?

Also, for people getting bigger/heavier than stock wheels and are losing power, is there an option to re-gear? i also searched and couldnt come up with anything...

Just a note. Tires for 19" and 20" wheels are more expensive than the already expensive ones.

But on the bright side, many people get 23-26,000 miles on the original tires. Of course if you smoke your tires the backs will burn out twice as fast as the fronts. To verify this search 'tire wear' or tire mileage.
